They go right down into the underlying MI, if observable, or the instruction stream if not. While this might be worth the effort to resurrect an otherwise lost program it is a rather nasty process (not to mention sloooooowwww) process to go through every time a program is called. Even then, what you have just discovered is what was expected by the program - which may or may not be what was passed. One other problem - none of these products (as far as I've been able to determine) can handle RPG IV programs.
