I fixed it. I renamed PRT01 to DSP01, which changed the QCONSOLE value. Then
I deleted DSP01 and created a new DSP01 as a display device. Then I
recreated PRT01.

You're right. I forgot that they had originally plugged the printer into
port 0. I just looked at the QCONSOLE system value and it is set to PRT01.

Now, how do I change it?

        Have you looked in the job log of the subsystem to see if any better
clues?
        Also, another thought, in sbs QCTL do you have an entry for *ALL?
If so,
        does it have control job at set to *SIGNON (ours is at *ENTER)?
