Hi Nathan, I can only tell from memory, but if you are asking because of being unable to run your own "selfmade" pgm, all you need is having QPGMR *USE permission when replacing the original QSTRUP that is run through the *autostart job defined by sysval QSTRPGM. This job uses QSTRUPJD as its job description and needs at least permission for QPGMR, *public can be *exclude. BTW, there has been a bug around since V3R6, when IBM "forgot" to give STRTCP, STRHOSTSVR and the equivalents ENDTCP and ENDHOSTSVR the *USE permission for the QPGMR profile. The result was that you couldn't start TCP through QSTRUP because the user profile running the job was not allowed to use it. This was even "inherited" when you upgraded those machines to V4Rx, because the upgrade process missed this bug, upgrading an old release is always fun ...
