I was at Orlando Tech conference. The events were a distraction during breaks, as well as Tues morning (as they should have been) But mostly the classes continued. A few cancelled because instructors unable to fly in mid-week. A few left early (driving) but not many. We all missed our families... Many had to drive home. Don't know about the overseas crowd. About 850 attendees (due to cutbacks). Still, a positive learning experience. Had one class via speakerphone. Several WebSphere related labs had tech problems. I think they learned you should not have 40 admins at one time! Also had a tropical storm mid-Friday (i was on the road by 8am Fri) jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: <jeff_carey@baxter.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2001 2:31 PM Subject: Conferences... > My company just banned travel not directly related to getting product out > until at least the end of October - so no COMMON.
