There was an unconfirmed reports of car bomb detonated at the State

unfounded, and Robert Mosher indicates that he neither saw nor heard a bomb
go off, saw three sides of the bldg intact. However, Stratfor and other
sources continue to indicate that one did go off at 10:22. Also, there are
sporadic, unconfirmed reports of a fire on the Mall.

Reports of secondary explosions inside the WTC buildings - probably gas
explosions, speculation of delayed explosives? Engineers report that WTC
buildings constructed to withstand a direct 707 strike, speculate that fire
weakened structure. Stratfor says CNN reports that another building near
the WTC was struck by debris, and is on the verge of collapse.

There is an unconfirmed report that one of the hijackers transmitted a
message before crashing.

Stratfor indicates that the attack appears to be uncharacteristic of the
DFLP, and goes way beyond their traditional means.
