You could be right... I just checked a "little closer" and while it does
support Bell 212, it doesn't say 208A , so you may be correct. I have to
admit I haven't seen or looked at Bell 208 in about 15 years but I just
glanced at the spec sheet when that question came up...

I still believe the 7852 can or will talk to 98% of any modems.
