Have used FaxStar at one customer for over 11 years. S36, RS6000, AS/400 versions. Now have TCP/IP model (but not the latest/greatest) We send out 200-2000 faxes a day over 2 lines, all faxes have logos, signatures, etc. To the as400 it's a remote outq. Also have 2 in-bound lines, and receive hundreds a day. Had problems with 1st months of IP model, but now very stable. Not using the capability for PC network to use. Network admin has twice put in a cheaper NT solution, and twice we threw them out. (you don't want to be re-booting the fax machine receiving/sending orders!) Then he tried WinFax (and user's formed a lynch party). Lasted 2 days. let me know if you need more (not affiliated) jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joel Fritz" <JFritz@sharperimage.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2001 3:35 PM Subject: RE: Any Fax*Star users? > Yes, although we haven't done anything new with it in several years and > everything we do with it involves text management 38. > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Don [mailto:dr2@cssas400.com] > > Sent: Thursday, August 30, 2001 12:07 PM > > To: midrange-l@midrange.com > > Subject: Any Fax*Star users? > > > > > > > > > > Any Fax*Star users out there??? > > > > Don in DC > > > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. >
