If I understand the 'rand' C function correctly, it returns a pseudo-random
number limited on the high end by the value set in qsysinc/h(stdlib) as
follows " #define RAND_MAX 32767".

I have a requirement for a (much) higher max number. In trying to update I
find the file is protected from update/add/delete by attribute.

1. Is it possible to change it to " #define RAND_MAX 524272"
2. If so, how?

I'm calling it as an extproc from RPGIV on r510 and will limit the LoRange -
HiRange as previously discussed in the archives at midrange.com.

TIA
