John/Shannon, et al.
Thanks for the info. I have passed it along. You guys are right, WHY does
it have to be SO complicated. I tried to order our V5R1 upgrade for our
development machine that we lease from IBM as part of the Partners in
Development program (or whatever they call it this week). I was amazed how
many people I have had to talk to (6) from 3 different groups, then update
some info on a web site and then when all was said and done, I had to send
an email to someone else to order it. Then I get an email that only my
lawyer can understand with big numbers on it.... I call the guy and ask, "I
thought this would be free, since I bought a 3 yr software subscription",
and he says, its is, disregard all the figures. Glad IBM makes such a great
box in the iSeries, because they don't have a clue about much of anything
else.

You need to apply a group PTF (SF99146) in order to obtain the 3.5.4 version
of WAS.

The V5R1 install put a more recent (3.5.3 I think) release on your AS/400,
but her Admin console is still at the old release level. The WAS Server and
the Admin console need to be kept in sync. There is a migration procedure
that should have been followed, the specifics of which are based upon what
release she was previously running. Once you find out what version she was
running on V4R4, refer to the following web page for the migration
instructions:
