I'd set up a parameter like this: PARM KWD(CPP) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10) CONSTANT(your-command-name-here) The parameter won't show if the command is prompted; your generic CPP will receive the hard-coded command name as a parameter. Can I still say "hard-coded", or will I get flamed? -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:midrange-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of York, Albert Sent: Tuesday, August 28, 2001 2:14 PM To: 'midrange-l@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Finding the name of a command It will always be called from a command line. Can you give me an example of how to use the API? For batch processing I was thinking of a constant parameter, but additional info from you in another post makes using this method with CRTDUPOBJ impossible. Regards, Carel Teijgeler.
