> Yes, but that's the application, not the save. Um, yeah. I thought I was trying to figure out if SAVCHGOBJ worked with this application technique, not pointing out a flaw in the OS. The considerations go beyond multi-membered files. It's been brought up on another thread -- any application that creates and deletes objects (work files, work file members, control data areas) as data or markers will probably need a different save/recovery strategy than SAVCHGOBJ.
