RE: nightly backup: objects not saved error

Sounds like a good idea.  Do you do the CPYF's right before or after
QUSRSYS is saved?

Before the backup starts.


 Is synchronization critical for these files?



It would depend on who would be doing WRKDIRE when the backup occurs!
Probably no one,  (I hope, I am sleeping a 4 AM when our backup is
scheduled and not working) that is why this works for us.


Do a data base inquiry on the files, you will see several are related to
the Directory entries, one has Snads controlling entries and one is empty.
