Ok Dan, your best bet really is to display those locks when they occur. Why IBM doesn't already dump this relevant information out & continue beats me. Maybe in the next 5 years ... until then you need to monitor for it in your code & issue a WRKOBJLCK object *PRINT. If not, try it during the day, when the locks may still obtain. Then see what process, in which sbs, is locking the files or their members. By clash, yes I meant running SAVDLO/RSTDLO/DLTDLO at the same time as saving the QUSRSYS library. But since your site doesn't use OV/400, you may not need to worry about this anyway. Fiona
