Isn't there a way to configure TCP/IP over twinax? Seems like I started
looking at it one time.....
CRTLINTDLC allows you to refer to a network controller to run a TCP/IP over
that twinax connection. The thing I DON'T know is if there are drivers for
the PC to use a twinax card as a NIC. Seems like it should be possible, but
it would definitely be slower than ethernet.

A quick search on IBM.COM found nothing about CAE and IP over twinax. Old CA
that supports SNA offers i5250ip.sys which would appear to be a device
driver for IP over twinax. Not sure if any of this could be made to work.
:(

good luck.....

Subject: Client Access in V5R1

I have a client that wants to upgrade to V5R1. They have a twinax connected
PC running Client Access. While they have migrated to running over TCP/IP
and Ethernet, this one PC remains on twinax because it is in the middle of
their warehouse and Ethernet would require repeaters. I recall reading that
only CA Express would be supported in V5R1.

Is there anyone out there running V5R1 and Client Access? How about V5R1
and Client Access over twinax? If so, did you have any difficulties when
going to V5?

Thanks for your input.
