How about buying a used AS400 (use parts out of the old AS400) with V4R4 on 
it. This would be a hassle. As I am not sure if the other licensed product 
can be transferred or not, I have heard yes and no. Also the serial number 
would change.  And if they are prepaid on maintenance on the AS400 they may 
lose that.  And I am sure other things I have not thought of. You could 
check if IBM would allow you to transfer software from an AS400 you bought 
to the old one. Not sure how IBM handles transferring software.
