Jerry, I would not view it as a pirated copy. If they are on V4R2, AND on Software Subscription, they have paid for and are entitled to move to a new version of OS/400. If they can now no longer order that version from IBM, I see no legal, ethical or moral problem (and I doubt IBM would either) in BORROWING a set of CD's to install V4R4. They have no other choice really.
