I never got to write SPS, but AutoCoder was an "assembler" language. Writing to 
IOCS macros in AutoCoder for a 1401 and then assembling meant the machine was 
tied up that day. Any non-trivial IOCS program could easily take eight hours or 
more to assemble.

Anyway, I recall something like a 2311 2.5MB disk unit that we upgraded to 5MB. 
The CE came and removed a stop-screw that allowed the disk arm to traverse the 
full platter and voila! Upgraded!

That colored my view of things from then on.
