If a disk is part of RAID set, then it cannot be moved to other controller.
Otherwise, OS will recognize the drive wherever it is placed.

(There are also some movement restrictions based on controller types - e.g.
some old controllers may not recognize disk of a new type.)

Without a lengthy explanation of why I would want to do this, can anyone
tell me if I can move a disk from slot 'A' to slot 'B' where the two
slots are on DIFFERENT Disk controllers without losing data? Will OS/400
welcome the friendly disk back to the fold?

Thanks!
