Without a lengthy explanation of how to do it, you would have to do the
following:

From DST turn off RAID if you are using it...

From DST remove the disk from the ASP ....

From DST turn RAID back on for the set you just removed the disk from

Physically move the disk to the new slot....

From DST add the disk to the correct ASP...

From DST add it to a RAID set...

Then use STRASPBAL to balance the ASP.

The IBM information center has the complete instructions on how to do this

Subject: Moving Disks

Without a lengthy explanation of why I would want to do this, can anyone
tell me if I can move a disk from slot 'A' to slot 'B' where the two
slots are on DIFFERENT Disk controllers without losing data? Will OS/400
welcome the friendly disk back to the fold?

Thanks!
