The question still comes up: Why should it matter if the user is signed on multiple times, at different workstations; versus multiple sessions at the same workstation? Are user profiles shared among physically different people? Or is this an attempt to see if someone doesn't attempt to thwart your software products license agreement by sharing profiles, yet not punish them for using multisession terminals on the same PC. (Of course, multisession dumb terminals would get penalized.) Rob Berendt ================== A smart person learns from their mistakes, but a wise person learns from OTHER peoples mistakes. So the same person signed onto two different terminals would count twice. Ron Hawkins From: <Ron@cpumms.com> > I have a requirement to count the number of users signed onto a particular > system. Users that are signed on with single sessions to different terminals should be counted how? as one user or as several users? if as one user, then why can't you simply count different users no matter what terminal(s) they are using? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
