You can teach a person to run an AS400 > in a week and they still can't do it. > I disagree with the last statement. The 400 can be just as easy. But to those who love the 36, a few user commands can give the 36 users most of their "look & feel". I built an attention key screen, with options like "D P" (display spool) and when selected run the wrksplf command. In a day, the users were used to the new system. Also, I think S36EE will be around as long as 5250 is. M36 fit the need for a long time, but like Officevision, is a hefty amount of code to maintain for zero revenue. What IBM ought to do is offer some big incentives to get companies to come up to the 250/270/820. It's not that hard to move from M36 to S36EE. jim +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
