An interesting little thing apropos of nothing... sometime, you might want to take a look at a program listing that contains a subfile with some output only fields. You'll find that the output-only fields actually show up in the input buffer. Which means that, when you do a CHAIN or a READC on a subfile, the output fields get updated with the contents of the record you just read. An interesting feature, to say the least.
