The basic process uses Security APIs approximately as follows:

1. Call QSYGETPH to get a profile handle for current user.
2. Call QSYGETPH to get profile handle for swap-to user.
3. Call QWTSETP to set to run under the swap-to user.
4. Do whatever processing is needed.
5. Call QWTSETP to set to run under previous current user.
6. Call QSYRLSPH to release profile handle for current user.
7. Call QSYRLSPH to release profile handle for swap-to user.

Sequence can vary slightly and there are things to watch for, but the manuals 
cover most stuff. It is apparently possible to deplete the supply of profile 
handles after many tens of thousands of swaps (have to check for absolute 
details) but the risk is minimal and the supply is refreshed at IPL. Very rare 
to hear about it.
