This may be a Y2K variant. Some software uses the SYSTEM date which is continually updated. Some software uses the SESSION date based on the DAY that some session signed onto the system. If that physical device is left signed on overnight, it MAY have the previous day's date. I have noticed that some PC have some slippage of time & the users do not bother to correct the time, so that over time the slippage can move from minutes or hours off to days off. Some software running on PCs use the date in the PC instead of the date in the network. Depending on whether you using PC or twinax session that has yesterday date or whether you using device that has same date as system & depending on where the software ultimarely gets the date - from job or whatever, you could run the same job from two different locations & get two different date results.
