Neil,

Hear, hear ! !

Does your position on the Freedom Council give you any leverage to pound
this point home? I have no doubt that all iCitizens agree with you
wholeheartedly.

Their "silence" on this matter is doing them more harm than good. You
think they would have learned from the frequent criticism of Microsoft for
not comig clean on their problems (recently again re MSG Messenger being
down for a week).
They shold tell all they know regarding this problem. They are screwing
around with customer data & businesses by not telling everything they know
about this. Is it possible the problem is so widespread they don't have
enougfh disks to replace all the faulty ones ?
Unless they come clean on this that's the type of speculation that's going
to flourish.

Neil

I'm trying to do that, but IBM is not being very cooperative with details.
Apparently all of the "suspect" drives were built in Singapore.

Is it possible to narrow it down to some manufacturing /ship/install date
window?
Just to get an idea of the scope of the exposure and if there is an END
DATE yet?

Al When were your manufactured/shipped?

Are these the disks you refer to ? We have ten in our new (to us)

     Should I be worried ?
