Jim,

When your network folks are ready to rumble on the oxcart, let me know.  I
have this slick thing called a wheel that will speed up their implementation
time and increase the speed of the cart!  :-)

It has only one known bug.  Off the hill on California Street here in SF,
the wheel worked so well on the cart, it over ran the ox!  We are working on
this invention called the brake which is still in the design phase.  One
design that was tested yesterday was material that is stuck in a space in
the wheel.  The engineers refer to this space as the area between the
spokes.  About the time the cart was about to over run the ox, just before
Montgomery Street, the material was applied to the area between the spokes.
As the cart was going through the intersection of California and Montgomery
Street the cart was in the air and cleared the ox by 3 feet!

Next test on the brake is scheduled next week.  There is this device that
applies pressure to the sides of the wheel.  It is activated by the cart
driver pulling this long object called a lever.
