I poked around the ETG web site, and it looks like their CD's (including the discounted one that is linked to the IBM site) are aimed at sales people trying to sell iSeries. So they aren't like brochures given to customers - they are like materials given to sales folks to help close sales. In that light, $20 seems pretty reasonable, if it'll help close a big sale or two. Brad, I like your attitude, most of the time, but days like today I have a hard time figuring out why. You're capable of thoughtful, insightful discussions. But your replies on this thread are not an example of this. I'm not going to get in a mud-slinging contest with you unless I have to. I think the arguments that have been presented speak pretty clearly for themselves, regardless of your's or my opinion on the subject. jt -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Stone, Brad V (TC) Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2001 10:06 AM To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: RE: iNation privleges offer or Tax? > >> C'mon, Brad. So now IBM has you spending money to do their advertising. Best of both worlds for them. (yes, I know IBM didn't put out the CD, but they were involved. Semantics.) > >> As far as saving the $22.90 to buy a clue, well...
