What If?" cd-rom. We could "wish" for it to be free, but IBM's running this like a Business Partner program, and not much is free there either. So - what are we to do? Personally, when I talk to managers (cfo, cio, mis) or even uninformed IS staff, tools like this are very handy, because they can be viewed in their own time (at home, on a plane, etc). The presenter is not from IBM, and makes it very clear he's not an IBM'r. He makes a very clear case that Sun, HP, MS do not have the best product on the market, that IBM does (and it's the iSeries). Since my career is built on this platform, and if my customers abandon the box for something else would be very bad, I'm going to do everything I can to convince them that the BEST choice is to move forward. If that cost me $20, then so be it. I stopped beleiving IBM would ever "give" me something along with the tooth fairy (but Santa's another story). Protect your career, educate the people around you. (another way is to sign your customers up for the iSeries magazine (free) from IBM. Don't even tell them.. jim +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
