FYI.  If you have trouble signing up it's because zip code is a required
field although the error will say that you did not fill in State or province
(even if it is filled in).

Those of you that were at the CMC meeting on Thursday in NOLA, heard me
mention a project that was coming down the line that I wasn't prepared to
talk about.

Today, I'm announcing that part I of that project is out of beta and ready
for the light of day.  www.iseriesnation.org

This is just the start.

This is the non-IBM, "user" side of the equation.  You're going to see
things here you NEVER would see at a IBM site.  We have plans to make this
site and concept a major focal point in the iSeries and soon to be eServer
Community.  We're going to be very positive, informative and since we're a
user advocative association, not necessarily politically correct....but,
politely so.

Many of the things that IBM drags their asses on and the
ex-cookie-chef-wannabe in Armonk will never want you to have or the world
to see, we plan on providing.

We're NOT going to reinvent the wheel.  If there's someone already
providing a quality service in a field of need, we're going to tell you to
use them.  Example:  No listserver planned.  Midrange.com and ignite/400
have that covered...and what they don't Yahoo does...

We are planning a regular email delivered eBulletin on events happening
of interest and perhaps ways and persons in the media that may have not
gotten the right word about the iSeries and need some education....etc...

This site is going to be under constant construction.  There's only a
small handfull of us right now, so please be patient on content.  FOlks
that have content or content ideas, please let me know.  Please put
"iSeries Nation User Page:" in the subject line...it helps me ALOT! :)

We're still growing as fast as we can, we not perfect, but we're gonna try
like hell to breach the grand canyon between "party line" and reality.
And, it's time that all those thinking M$ is the best, got a dose of
reality.

Yes, because, we're not IBM, you need to signup a second time, with us.

Since we're user driven, we're not being run by a multi-BILLION dollar
company.  This means, I'm not going to be sending you any tedy bears to
get you to signup.  There aren't any gimmicks here.  We're straight
shooters who have been in the midrange trenches for more years than we
have fingers and toes.  We fully intend to give you content you can use
and need to help keep your day to day, day to day.

We don't have a monopoly on brains or ways to skin the cat, and we're not
bashful to ask.

It's time to let the Phoenix rise....we think the Future is so bright,
you're gonna need a welder's mask...:)

It's time we kicked some ass to save what's important....

It's time you signed up for YOUR iSeries Nation....
