We had quite a discussion about Support Line several months ago. I'm one who is very much in favor of it. If I was running any Net.Data, Web, Client Access, Netserver, Websphere...would not run without support. (maybe a vanilla rpg system with no pc's). We live in an age where you only get what you pay for. I don't mean this harshly, but I do have no sympathy for companies running unsupported releases. The cost of doing business should include running a supported system. I have clients that do this, and some that don't, and try & make it real clear the decision THEY made. In this area, just like backup & recovery, in-action or doing nothing is a decision in itself. where do you draw the line in supporting old stuff? I think Rochester has been good to provide fixes for unsupported release "when they can". They have not always said no. <i'm going to hide now...> jim +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
