No, as far as anyone knows, Apple will not be releasing OS X (ten) for the x86 platform. Yes, there are a few open source projects out there that are trying to bring the OS X interface and kernel to the x86 platform. The last I knew, the kernel now compiles, but there are still many bugs. And a project just started on a aqua interface. All using the source that Apple released to the public.
