>Does anyone know of any product (other than IBM's DB2Connect) that will >allow the transport of data from a DB2 database to an Oracle database? >(The aim is to move an entire database from AS400 to Oracle/Sun - not my >decision sadly, or it would stay where it is). We are currently in a 4 year plan of consolidating our platforms to a ORACLE database, so we have created a DataBase Sychronization process for sychronizing data between DB2(AS400) and ORACLE. We use CPYTOIMPF to build a flat file of all our tables with a delimiter between each table, the columns are TAB delimited. We then FTP the BIG file instead of 1 import file at a time to the SUN box running ORACLE. You can do something similar and use SQL Loader to load the data into your ORACLE database.
