I am putting together a framework as we speak (or write), shoot me a
note offline and maybe we can share the ideas/concepts. Actually, it
looks like, but putting together a good framework, it would be very
quick to roll out variations of the "shells" as it were. Anyone else
that might want to contribute, let me know and maybe we can setup a -
dare I say - open source share pool.

John,

I have just started looking at VA RPG. I've gone through the redbook
tutorial. But the redbook didn't describe any type of framework. Did
you
come up with your own framework? Can you recommend any good resources?

Thanks,

Phil

I have used the same External I/O module (dynamic SQL with Prepare
statements) that I use in my report programs and green screen subfiles,
It passes two parms, 1 control D/S with flags & stuff, the second is a
Multiple Occuring D/S externally defined same as DB file being accessed.
It works great from VA/RPG. Very fast. Passes back 20 records in
Multi
occurring D/S.
