Mark: You need to have a WINS server. A WINS server is similar to a DNS server for Microsoft networking. I think (not sure) that Windows networking does net bios over IP. We have run into a problem that the routers will not pass the broadcast packets required for networking neighborhood. Set up a WINs server and then your should be able to search for the 400 and find it that way. cjg Carl J. The remote location is on a different subnet than our AS/400 and is not an NT Domain but just a workgroup. (Only 3 computers in this locale). Is it possible for Netserver to span subnets? If so, what must I add in order for this to work.
