Spooky.  Does the back overlay print or is it missing?  
Does the printer work if you power it off/on?
Does it get better if you end/restart the writer?

o Check to see that you're on the latest PTF level.  
o In the past, I've had unusual things happen when I 
    try to use an AFP resource that isn't in the library list.  
o Are you printing to a PRTWTR or a RMTWTR?  
   A PRTWTR (attached to a device) is usually well behaved.
