Mike,

Have you tried to detach the outqueue PRT01 from the writer and create a 
new outqueue which you attach to the writer PRT01? In this way, output will 
normally go to the outqueue PRT01 and the output that should be really 
printed can be directed to the new outqueue.

I do not know the impact of changes to make to get this set-up working (if 
this would solve your problem).
