How would I setup the iseries to receive email ( without domino ), is there a rcv equivalent of the send email api?

I want to do the following:

Batch job runs as the email receiver.

Central rcv pgm polls the ISP every 5 minutes for new messages.

For each msg received, a cl pgm is called with an "EmailMsgId" parameter.

The cl pgm runs a "RtvEmailMsg  &EmailMsgId" command.

The email msg attributes are returned into pgm variables ( from, to, subj, body ).

Maybe even an IFS path name of the attached file?

"To address" is mapped to an iseries usrprf name.

CL pgm distributes, files the msg according to its programmed instructions.

Thank you,

Steve Richter
