Larry, Art - thanks for your ideas. Concerning the trade-in deal that BCC proposes to many customers, it's not our case. Still, that trade-in is a commercial effort to gain market and has nothing to do with HDW values. There *ARE* happy BCC clients on the AS/400, but they might run non-critical boxes. I'd like to gather more information, I'm looking for *real life* experiences. Still, Larry's story about his BCC customer looks like a SCARY MOVIE... That deal indicates to me that your used IBM drives are worth more than their new drives. What does that mean to you? Art Tostaine, Jr. CCA, Inc. Jackson, NJ 08527 ________________________________________________________________________ -----Original Message----- ( ... ) Does anyone have any experience with the BCC TECHNOLOGIES internal disk drives on the AS/400? These are genuine IBM disks (platters & casing), the rest (ctrl system , electronics) are BCC, marketed since 1989 for the AS/400. ________________________________________________________________________ +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
