Group, Ok, my boss wants me to pose a question to the list. We have some voice response unit programs that run on our AS400. Our customers can dial in and access their personal account information using their phone's keypad to go through the menus. (We are not on the web and do not provide internet access.) This currently works well. We would now like to offer them the ability to use the VRU to make payments on their account (which would be automatically deducted from their checking or savings account). Of course we would need to build in security in requiring them to enter a PIN# in order to complete the transaction. They would also have to have the ability to change the PIN# as they see fit. We would like to know how others are handling the PIN# security issue. Are you using an outside software solution? Are you using in-house programs? Does that solution exist on the AS400 platform or on a PC platform?
