  • Subject: mime e-mail from the 400

Please forgive the cross posting.

We're looking into replacing a bulk e-mail package (I know, this is dark
side stuff) that runs on NT. One alternative that's pretty popular here, is
using the 400, since the customer database lives there. I'm curious about
any experience anyone may have had with throughput. We're hoping for 30 or
so messages per second, but could live with 15 to 20 for a few months.

We have been advised that it is possible to use QzmfCrtMailMsg to send mime
e-mail. Will this work?

Has anyone had any high volume experience with aftermarket replacements for
SMTP services on the 400? We're looking at 800K messages at a time with
possibility for real growth in the near future. The thing that I find scary
is that these people have voluntarily provided their e-mail addresses. <g>
