Steve, I would never agree to do this. On more than one occasion, an IBM employee has contacted me off-list to offer assistance or information regarding a problem I was having, or a comment I had made. I consider this something that they do out of courtesy, not obligation, and I would never do anything to compromise their privacy in such a situation. A private discussion between list members should remain just that - private, unless both parties have expressly agreed to take the discussion public.
