Dave, > We are a financial institution that deals with a payroll company (ADP) in sending and receiving data files. This company requires a bi-synchronous connection. Does anyone else out there deal with ADP and how do they connect to get the files to and from the AS400? If you want to roll your own, I have some code (circa 1989) that you can bang into shape to do send Bisync (2780 protocol) ACH files to a remote system. It's a little rough, but once you get it working you can pretty much just set it and forget it. If you want to save yourself some headaches, go buy a commercial product like Alliance Banklink/400 from www.patownsend.com The Bisync technology is unchanged since probably 1969, so the documentation to build it yourself should be readily available. But then you have to ask yourself how much time you want to invest in learning how systems used to communicate. :) jte +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
