I have used pieces of his code to write job monitors, spool file utilities for ftping and e-mailing... and I use the program that allows you to see all the files in a rpg program, and have changed it so I can dbu the files...
He has some very nice commands on that page...
glad it could help... but Craig is the one who should get the kudos....

Craig's program, copied a piece here and there and WHAM, I now have a VERY
fast way of getting the length and decimals for a field, given the library,
file, format and field name.
