Point accepted.  And the beauty of SYSCOLUMNS is that it is broken down by
library, if instead of doing CRTLIB you use the SQL command CREATE
COLLECTION.  And probably the Client people use SYSCOLUMNS instead of
accessing QADBIFLD directly.

I generally refer people to SYSCOLUMNS instead of the underlying physical.
It's an SQL thing.  WRKF SYS* and check out

/rbafzmstcatalog.htm (or search the InfoCentre for SYSTABLES.  The second
hit was Appendix G of the DB2 manual.)
