Hi Mark,

I use VAJ for my work, but it's the only Java IDE that I've used, so I won't
try to make any comparisons. What I can do is share a few of my
likes/dislikes.

What I like about it:
--------------------
- code repository is *the* way to manage source.
- incremental compiles save me a whole bunch of time
- it keeps track of unresolved problems (compile errors) automatically
- built in version control.
- built in websphere environment for testing
- visual debugger
- professional version is included with WDT/400

What I don't like:
------------------
- it's always lagging behind the current JDK level
- the visual composition editor (GUI tool) is a waste of disk space.
- needs a real fast processor and gobs of memory
- enterprise edition is very expensive

Overall, I think it's an excellent development tool. My biggest complaint is
the time it takes them to support a new JDK version.
