Mark, The current ide for Java development is WebSphere Studio. I'd take a close look at the new tool before proceeding with VA Java. There's a nice article in the June 2001 issue of iSeries Magazine (nice job Bleddyn) that walks you through the creation of an inquiry servlet and display JSPs. hth, Eric DeLong Sally Beauty Company MIS-Sr. Programmer/Analyst 940-898-7863 or ext. 1863 -----Original Message----- From: MWalter@hanoverwire.com [mailto:MWalter@hanoverwire.com] Sent: Monday, June 04, 2001 4:00 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Visual Age for Java Hello all, This may be a little off topic but I value everyone's opinion so here goes. Is anyone out there using VAJAVA for Java Development? What do you like about it? What are your dislikes? If you are not, what are you using? I've been given the heads up by my manager that a web project may be on the horizon. I've done some very simple Java coding but feel an IDE may be required for me to really get going.
