The "unattended system save" is a recurring topic. I asked this exact question
about a year ago, the short answer at the time is "you can't". So I wrote a
countdown program that runs on the console (interactively) and runs our weekly
backup program (go save/21 equivalent). 

If this gets resolved, the weekly backup gets moved immediately to the job
scheduler. :)
