First, let's divorce the two issues. Interactive threshold has nothing to do with these two system values. These two system values were added in V4R4 as a further warning after the CPF0907 message that is sent when you exceed the DASD ASP threshold as set in SST/DST. Besides getting another warning message, for this threshold, you can specify an action. The values listed below are the shipped defaults. Some BIG ASS customer convinced IBM to invest in these two new system values, but I'm not sure that it was a wise investment. We skipped from V4R2 to V4R4 and they showed up there. The values are QSTGLOWACN *STG Auxiliary storage lower limit action and QSTGLOWLMT *STG Auxiliary storage lower limit. The help text will give you all of the details. Maybe Mr. Barsa can shed even more light on this. I know that we set the QSTGLOWLMT to 25%. It will not stop your system just lets you know that you need either to contact IBM and by more DASD or you need to cleanup your system, Hope this helps. Now we're seeing lots of messages telling us that we've our interactive threshold (never happened at v4r3 or earlier).
