But thats the point I was trying to make. For all the instances of upgrading 
the Operating system release level, we have NOT changed/recompiled ANY of these 
programs.

We just had this happen again when one of our customers went to V4R5. We
delete the work file and recompile the programs and everything works again.
So perhaps it's a problem with my implementation of the concept. That's why
I was posting to this list in the first place - to see how everybody else
was doing it and if there was a better way. So far, it seems that everyone
is simply doing what we do, recompile and get on with it.
