I haven't used CuteFTP, but I have used (and still do use!) WS_FTP Pro.  It
does a very nice job of working with the AS/400 to/from the PC.  You define
the host as being an AS/400 even.  All the objects in the library show up
including each individual source member - handy for moving source around.
Check out their www.ipswitch.com seb site.  You can download an evaluation
copy or purchase.
